SONTOOSA Brand Story

SONTOOSA originates from Italy, a country where art and nature are perfectly integrated. The design of the brand is inspired by the local saint SONTOOSA of Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean ".

 

SONTOOSA, formerly known as Artusha, was born into a noble family in the Ponley estate of Sicily. Because she was born with a distinctive burgundy pupil, she especially loved to wear a burgundy dress. The islanders can always see lively maidens dragging bright skirts running wildly on the green hillsides to the shore of the blue Mediterranean.

 

On the way down the mountain, 16-year-old Atusha happened to meet a villager who died of pain due to poverty and delayed treatment, and touched her kind and warm heart.

Arturtha began to visit famous doctors to learn medicine. A few years later, during a major plague outbreak in Sicily, she tested the drug herself and treated patients on the island free of charge.

At that time, the girl who ran around the village every day to cure the sick and save people slid into the hearts of the islanders like a flow of red wine, and the islanders called her "a wine-soaked doctor".

 

Many years later, Theodorik's army attacked Sicily. Artutha sheltered thousands of children and women in the cellar of Pangli Manor and blocked the fatal knife with his body before the soldier's saber jumped on a pregnant woman.

 

Artusha's young life of less than 25 years old came to an abrupt end. A long blood stain was cut on her chest by the blade. Together with her wine-colored dress and finally resolute wine red eyes, it was fixed into a bloody wine red in the hearts of the islanders.

 

The Sicilian people regard her as a saint and honor her as SONTOOSA.

From the passionate and innocent Sicilian girl to the resolute saint who saves lives and heals the wounded. SONTOOSA became the guardian of the family and the symbol of women and children.
